The Steampunk Symposium 2022 Program invites you to spiff up your ensemble with a cute cockade.

$5 session fee for materials (paid upon arrival at the workshop).
Ribbon cockades have been around since the 15th century. Over time they have been used both decoratively and to indicate military rank or affiliation with a particular organization or airship. They can also be snazzy accoutrements to the most fanciful steampunk ensemble. In this workshop you will start making your own cockade. A variety of ribbons and buttons will be available.
Martha Stephenson has been sewing since she was a tiny tot and making cockades for about six years. She has never ever ever sewn one backwards nor used one to hold a costume together. Ever. She looks forward to sharing this skill with you.
