They do a variety of show types at events including Classic Circus, Vaudeville/1800s/Old West Show, Roving Circus Entertainment, Medieval/Renaissance Theme Show and Circus Sideshow.
Cincinnati-based AUTOMATON is the premiere power metal troupe. As a concept group, the band weaves their steampunk epic through stage costume, larger-than-life glory-seeking lyrics, and a heavy sound. AUTOMATON’s influences include the classic Iron Maiden and Dio, as well as modern power metal acts such as Falconer and Turisas. Listeners can expect AUTOMATON’s high-energy stage show to reflect the story of their dramatic journey traveling between two bitterly divided nations. Bring your tankards, top hats and MAVERICKS to the Symposium, and prepare to sing along. And headbang. Visit www.steampoweredmetal.com for more.
Chakras originated in 2008. As time progressed and members changed, the sound has progressed to the personality of the current 2010 lineup.
Influences range from Faith No More, Lacuna Coil, Tool, Tori Amos to Mazzy Star.
Chakras drummer, Steve K., & guitarist, Bill M., both came from metal backgrounds. This is balanced by Bassist, Jeff C., Guitarist , Mark S., & Keyboardist / Cello, Trice S., who come from mainstream rock backgrounds. Andrea’s vocal stylings fall somewhere in the middle. The music is dynamic, exhibiting a wealth of emotion, and running from orchestral nuance to brute force.
Chakras continues to write new material and evolve their ever changing sound.
Drunk & Sailor rock the boat with rousing drinking songs and sea chanteys performed in a highly interactive format. “Lucky” audience members might find themselves dragged onstage to be part of the crew!
A chemist, a time traveler, a gentleman explorer, and a mad genius join forces… to save the world with their aural odysseys of steam, strife, and romance! The Extraordinary Contraptions, those dimension-hopping rock-and-rollers from Atlanta, Georgia, create a total art centered upon epic songwriting and superb musicianship as they spin their melodical tales from a time that never was. They effortlessly fuse the steampunk aesthetic, a DIY work ethic, and rock and roll sensibilities to offer a unique experience that grows and evolves with each new timestream they visit.
Ford Theatre Reunion
Ford Theatre Reunion have been described as “one of the strangest, most interesting, eclectic bands I’ve ever heard. I don’t know if they fit any genre/classification . . . If you like NEW sounds F T R is the ticket.” (Yelp!); “Visually resplendent, full of performance daring and stylistically indefinable, the Lexington collective is a dark musical carnival that loves to dash the senses.” (LexGo).
A sultry, graceful, powerful French-born singer, percussionist and a fiery punk rock guitarist from the golden days of the hardcore scene blended their diverse talents to form Frenchy and the Punk in 2005. Imagine Django Reinhardt, Johnny Ramone, Siouxsie Sioux and Edith Piaf jamming together at an event hosted by Tim Burton. This is what it might sound like. The unlikely pairing has since released 5 full-length CDs, produced a live concert DVD and performed over 600 shows together all across the U.S. and in Europe. In May 2012, Yahoo Music called them one of the top 25 duos in the US. Their show is a carnival of two that will take you from Paris to CBGBs and back again. A rollicking flapper folk punk cabaret with cleverly crafted songs, pop hooks, Taiko meets Rio de Janeiro pounding drum instrumentals and
true DIY attitude. Visit them at frenchyandthepunk.com.

They are courtesans, veiled dancers to sultans and kings, illuminating decadence with the precision of their hips. Or they are princesses of the East, the finest beauties of their people, trailing riches wherever they step. Or they are sorceresses from beyond the farthest mountains who cast the spells of their craft with flying skirts and a quirk of ruby lips.
Though their origins may be shrouded in mystery, one thing is certain: when Les Odalisques step out of the airship and onto the stages of the West, nothing will ever be the same again.
Qiet started their rise on the Huntington music scene in 2009. What started out as an eclectic arrangement of musicians and instruments has recently grown in to a driven and focused collective, incorporating vastly different music genres to create their unique style. Such a wide range of influence makes for an audibly diverse concert, but the energy that the band brings to the stage make each Qiet show a force of nature. Definitely not an experience to be missed.
