Captain Ruliff MacFarland is the 2012 and 2013 Symposium Games Mustache Contest champion, and captain of Airship Valkyrie which succeeded in winning the most challenges in 2013, flying away with the Symposium Games Trophy and four badges to Symposium 2014.
MacFarland was first drawn into Steampunk by friends who invited him to an event, and since then he and his crew have soared the aether. He considers his best talent to be making props, and many of you might have experienced the giant purple tentacle that seems to track the Valkyrie to various conventions.
In 2014 MacFarland plans to continue representing the Dastardly Alliance and Airship Valkyrie and have a grand time! “I had a fantastic time being involved in the games, and was honored to be recognized for my “Handlebar”!” ~ MacFarland.
MacFarland’s advice to newcomers to the Symposium and Games contenders is, “Make sure to get involved in the games and have a good time!”
