Symposium Postponed to March 2022

Posted on Posted in Featured, Symposium Update

After much deliberation and consideration of current conditions, the Steampunk Symposium has decided to postpone the convention once more and return to our usual calendar spot of the last weekend in March. The Symposium will be hosted at the same hotel, but the new dates are March 25th to 27th, 2022.

Some will find the date change frustrating, but we also know that many of you will be happy that the Symposium is returning to spring time. While the national Covid19 vaccination process will have made good progress by this summer, projections indicate that many precautions will still be in place and there could still be limits on public gatherings. In order to give the full Steampunk Symposium experience, we have decided that waiting until March 2022 will allow us to provide a better convention for our attendees.

All tickets will automatically roll over to Symposium 2022, and as much as possible we will keep the same programming that we had lined up. The “Weird West” theme is still in place, so we look forward to seeing all those amazing outfits you’ve been working on during the pandemic.

The hotel prices will remain the same, and the booking links will go live 50 weeks before the event (around mid-April 2021). The previous block has been cancelled and all bookings associated with it should automatically be cancelled as well.

We thank you for your understanding and patience, and look forward to bringing you an amazing convention next year.
