Fans and Flowers Workshop

Posted on Posted in Symposium Session

Fans and flowers provided! Up your flirting skills with some archaic tips and tricks from days gone by.

Presented at Symposium 2019 by M. Leigh Hood

Victorian love languages are steeped in myth and romance. Last year, we dug into the history. This year, we’re going to get our hands dirty. Learn to signal your ladies across the dance floor, deter an admirer, or insult your enemy with a very polite array of blooms. Although we highly recommend you BYOF (Bring Your Own Fan) we will have spares available. We will also have several practical bouquet assembly demonstrations, which a few lucky audience members will get to take home!

A rare beast of the Cincinnati wilderness, M. Leigh Hood spends more time typing than is strictly advised by the FDA. When she isn’t writing for work or pleasure, she can be found lurking in the stranger corners of the city with a camera or cup of tea at hand.
